PinnedWe have multiple upcoming launches that solve this. We just replaced character-3 as the default and most of these are now addressed.

Hi Graziela,
Thanks for the feedback, this is definitely something we’re working towards with the next model!

Hi Tralexan,
We can’t offer a policy of charging credits on download, like other generative video providers the cost of generation is just too high.
We recommend short test clips, but the best thing for audio is smooth, gentle speaking with prompts saying “head moving slowly, hand still on table” etc.
This is going to get a massive upgrade in the next model though.

Thanks for the reply. I do look forward to more control over movement. Sliders like Eleven Labs and Krea would be great. Something to control degree of head movement, eye movement, expression variance etc. And I should say that I do see great improvement in image quality in the current version. I’ve been here since very close to the beginning.

I know :) I’ve seen you around for a long time. Hopefully our continued progress indicates we are listening and are focusing on the next big leap. We’ll see what we can do about movement control

‘’’
Face: 1, 0
Overall: 0, 1
Head: 1, 0
Eyes: 0,0
‘’’
Means:
-the faces is very animated at the start and moves less and less time end.
-the overall body, head, face, eyes start still and gradually move more and more until the end.
-the head and neck move a lot at the start and taper off at the end.
-the eyes remain fixed on the same point no matter what.

Thanks for reaching out! What prompts have you tried? We pushed an update that improved prompt adherence by a significant amount last night.

HI there,
Thanks for reaching out. Are you talking about the voice? It wasn’t fully clear from the beginning of the third paragraph.

if you RLHF from this curve, I bet you could improve the failure rate. extraneous movement is the number one reason I can’t use a take.

Slider to control expressiveness
Is there a way to prompt the engine to be more subtle with its animation, or more active. If I want a quiet reserved face, I still end up will quite vibrant animation. I can’t see any settings to adjust this. Are there tutorials on how to use Hedra’s service?

Not yet, the next one will be more natural (in my opinion)

I think it does a fantastic job of bringing a character to life, but sometimes subtle is better than over the top. A slider, or even a simple toggle to switch between models would be adequate at this early stage. Are you part of the dev team?

Sorta (CEO), there’s not different models at this stage, but we can look into the slider

I read the Forbes article so I now know you’re definitely on the development team. How long will it last that you can actively listen to us fans of your service? What you guys have made is fantastic. There’ll be others that do the same thing of course, but brand loyalty and engagement goes a long way I think.
Assuming the model you’re running has a system prompt at the back end of our audio and image inputs, then it would be nifty if part of that prompt was tied to a slider. Subtlety will help with the realism I think. We humes know exactly what a realistic person looks like. Being able to dial in the level of animation will let us fine tune that realism rather than you guys trying to bake it into the model.
If I had a parameter list I’d add blink rate. A nervous person blinks more often than a calm person. And angry person may not blink at all. The blinking is my favourite part of the animation, but if it is also baked into the model then some of the realism for us as directors of actors is removed.
I’d also add head movement as a variable.
And eye gaze. A nervous person may not look back at the camera. They’ll look down and to the side. A confident person will be the way the model currently runs, being direct eye contact.
I haven’t read through the entire wish list for development yet, so I’m probably repeating what others have said. Plus you’re busy so don’t have to time for long comments. I’m just enthused about your service.
Animating my books.
Creating educational content.
Creating advertising/marketing avatars.
Video answering machine.
That’s four of a list that keeps growing in my head of what image + audio = animation can do.

I would be willing to wait longer for the processing of a video to get better mouth syncing, few blurry spots. Stylizing kept adding a raised hand and when I used that model, she moved her hand down and left a blurry area for the whole video. I would prefer no hands in the video at all unless it is in the original photo.
I have tried all 3 photo formats but am still getting errors and poor lip sync.

Yes, a setting for the speed of movement of the head, and maybe also how much it moves (maybe combined into intensity of movement) would be good, since these things can increase the amount of errors.

There are several, and i mean several SFX sites that have royalty free sounds you can download at no cost. Not sure how SFX would work with lip-sync anyway. I’d rather see Hedra continue to focus on the lip-sync side of things. Add the SFX in post-production.

Improve background movement
Background actors tend to just rock back and forth without doing much, so longer scenes with background people can feel awkward. It would be helpful to either improve their idle behavior or limit them in some way.
