Transparent background
Provide capability to create the avatar inside a circle with a transparent background around the circle or green screen that can become transparent, allowing an image or video to play behind it. Or just have the uploaded image of a real person created into a speakign avatar have no background so when brought into another editor, there is no background to contend with for layering.

Ideally it wouldn’t be a default green screen. If one could specify a background colour then that will make it easier to key out in the video editor. e.g. not do green background, do blue (two most common obv)

Imagine if one could upload a background and let the machine render the character with a bespoke background. So the two visual inputs would then be, character face to be animated, background image for the animation to be superimposed onto. Would save a step in the video editing process.
I guess it depends on how much of a one stop shop you plan Hedra to be.

My technique for this is to use chroma-key in video editing software and use a solid background color for the face generation. Sometimes the solid color causes issues, but there are “auto-remove-background” options that are available as well.

there are many shades of blue. Is there a better blue than another to achieve this goal of eventually making it transparent usng the Chrome Key in Kapwing? Thanks.

MP4 video doesn’t support transparency, so if the transparency is to be retained then the system would have to output the video to a different format than at present.

Is this avaiable yet? I’d love to be able to change the backgrounds. I’m uploading pngs without the background, but Hedra reinserts the background.

The goal is to create an avatar within a circular frame, featuring either a transparent background or a green screen that can be made transparent, enabling seamless integration with images or videos layered behind it. Alternatively, an uploaded image of a real person can be converted into a speaking avatar with no background, ensuring compatibility with other editors for layering without background interference.
