We can add speed control, but what is voice change over?

I noticed pitch was increased on conversion from uploaded sample for voice cloning, download to audacity and tweaks pitch and speed to correct. One thing i noticed is that in my desktop apps I’m prompted to match rate, is it possible the code is changing source file rate and this is what is causing the issue on pitch?

Right now, the uploaded sample is directly forwarded to cartesia, so we’re not changing anything. It’s likely just the delta between the cloned and the real voice you are picking up on.

I figure I’ll just feed the machine the audio I want at the pace I want it.
I can see how it would be relevant if you plan to go text to voice for the animations.
